Recommended US Flu Vaccine Being Banned in Other Countries Due to Bizarre Side Effects

The Swedish Medical Products Agency has received reports from health care professionals regarding narcolepsy as suspected adverse drug reaction following Pandemrix flu vaccination.

The reports concern teenaged children who developed narcolepsy symptoms one to two months after vaccination against the H1N1 pandemic. Finland is also looking into the possible link following an increase in the sleeping disorder among children this spring.

According to The Local:

“In the European Union, around 30 million people were vaccinated using Pandemrix. Sweden bought 18 million doses, which was enough to provide two injections for each person in its 9.3 million population.”

The Pandemrix package insert shows that “somnolence”, although not narcolepsy per se, is a known potential side effect of the drug.

Finland’s National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has also issued an order to stop the use of Pandemrix swine flu vaccine due the probable link to narcolepsy in children. The agency received six reports of children who developed chronic sleep disorders after they received the vaccine in January 2010,Seer Press News reports.

Six cases of narcolepsy with cataplexy – a rare disorder characterized by chronic sleepiness, together with a loss of muscle tone – have been detected in France in persons vaccinated against influenza A/H1N1.

As you may recall, Australia also banned the swine flu vaccine for children under the age of 5, back in April, 2010, due to excessively high rates of febrile convulsions.

Taking Probiotics Eases Cold and Flu-like Symptoms in Children

(Tuesday, May 18, 2010, Norwich). A recent article in the Journal of Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics reported on a study involving 326 children, ages 3 to 5, who participated in a double-blind, placebo-controlled test of the effects of probiotics on cold and flu-like symptoms.

Norwich-based Dr. Robert Wrieden, D.C., follows health and wellness issues closely in professional journals and other publications.  “People often think of chiropractors in terms of treating neck and back pain,” said Dr. Wrieden, “but many of my colleagues and I, myself, are involved in all aspects of our patients’ health and well-being, including proper nutrition and illness-preventative measures.”

In this particular study, children in the study group were assigned at random to get one of three planned dosages.  One group received just a placebo, or common sugar pill with no therapeutic value.  A second group got a single probiotic dosage, and the third group got a combination probiotic dosage.

“The study participants received their allocated dosage twice a day for six months,” Dr. Wrieden related.  “They were then analyzed to determine both the incidence of cold and flu-like symptoms during the test period, as well as the duration of such symptoms.”

In comparison to the placebo group, those children who had taken the single-strain probiotic had a 53% reduction in fevers, a 41.4% reduction in coughing, and a 28.2% reduction in rhinorrhea, or runny nose.

“The combination-strain probiotic group fared even better,” said Dr. Wrieden.  “The incidence of fevers was reduced by 72.7%, coughing by 62.1%, and rhinorrhea by 58.8%.”

The study also measured the duration of cold and flu-like symptoms in the study group, and, once again, there was a marked improvement for those children using some form of probiotics over the placebo group.  The single-strain probiotics usage resulted in a lesser duration of symptoms by 32%; the combination-strain usage caused a 48% reduction in the duration of the symptoms.  The study also concluded that children getting some form of probiotics had less need to take antibiotics during the test period and also were absent much less from nursery school or other group child care facilities.

“This is just one study,” explained Dr. Wrieden, and more studies are needed before any absolute conclusions can be drawn.”

#6 Processed Foods (boxed and canned)

Typically found in the middle aisles of grocery stores, these foods are completely de-vitalized and have absolutely no nutritional value for optimal health and wellness.  And, they are often loaded with salt, sugar, food colorings, preservatives and MSG.  MSG (monosodium glutamate) is a known toxin that damages the nerve system.

#7 Simple Grains and Starches

These foods (wheat, bread, white rice, corn, & potatoes) have been linked to the chronic diseases of western civilization.  Most people would benefit from simply removing these from their diets.  Dr. Hoffman says, “The only

grain I recommend is 100% sprouted grain bread (millet or spelt) and even then I only recommend 4 slices a week. Brown rice and wild rice or quinoa is also ok in moderation.”

#8 Unfermented Soy

Unfermented soy (soy milk, tofu, and soy protein powders) interfere with optimal thyroid function blocking the absorption of calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.  And they interfere with hormonal balance.  Fermented soy is ok (miso, natto, and tempeh).

#9 Table Salt (sodium chloride)

Iodized salts interfere with water and ion (electrolyte) balance leading to retaining water high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease.  Minimal use of natural sea salt is ok.

#3 Refined Sugar (White sugar products)

Refined sugars are found in about any product that is boxed, bottled, and canned.  With no real nutritional value, refined sugar robs your body of vitamins and minerals, and increases oxidative stress on the body leading to chronic disease, such as obesity, cancer, heart disease, stroke and auto immune disorders.

#4 Soda (regular AND diet) and Sweetened Fruit Drinks

Avoiding artificial sweeteners and refined sugars means NO sugary beverages like soda! Loaded with 8 or more teaspoons of sugar or

artificial sweeteners, caffeine and phosphoric acid; drinking only 1 can of soda per day has been shown to lead to 10 pounds of excess fat per year!  Drinking soda also increases your risk of osteoporosis, leads to excessive sugar intake, hypoglycemia, diabetes, obesity, and heart disease, not to mention tooth decay and digestive issues due to the high acid content.

Found in almost everything packaged or processed!  This substance leads to diabetes, obesity and heart disease.  Recent evidence suggests that extracting the sweet substance from corn involves the heavy metal mercury which has been linked to autism, severe nerve system disorders, autoimmune diseases, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

Aspirin Does Not Prevent Cardiovascular Disease Deaths

A 2010 article in the British Medical Journal (BMJ 2010;340:c1805) refers to a recent meta-analysis of six prior studies into the risks and benefits of a daily aspirin in people considered “at risk” of cardiovascular disease, found that heart benefits of the treatment were minimal, and were far outweighed by the increased risk of potentially fatal gastrointestinal bleeding.

Health is something that must be pursued by taking personal responsibility.  Health is not and can not be achieved with the flick of a magic (drug) wand.  It cannot be injected into you with a needle.  It can only be achieved by you taking control over your own health.  Take responsibility for the results you create with each and every decision you make:  Decisions about food, stress, sleep, the use of your mind, the use of your free time, personal care products, chiropractic, etc.

#1 Hydrogenated Oils (Trans fats/ artificial fats, olestra)

People wrongly believe that health is something that happens TO them rather than something that happens THROUGH them.  So they remain stuck in a pattern of self-inflicted sickness and disease while hoping that some other organization, government or health care plan will come to their rescue.  Health happens through you when you embrace healthy eating habits, regular exercise, sufficient quality rest, and lifestyle changes that include regular chiropractic care.

Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Diet Cuts Risk of Heart Failure

Harvard Medical School research provides new evidence that maintaining a healthy lifestyle significantly decreases a person’s lifetime risk of high blood pressure and heart failure.  While this implication is not new, it is significant in that the research tracked nearly 100,000 health providers.

April 19, 2010 – Journal of the American Medical Association

The above study revealed that 22% of the cancers that did occur could have been avoided if all the women in the study group followed all of the health recommendations.  31% of the cancers would have been avoided if people had stopped smoking.  Women that maintained normal body weight, had a healthy diet, took folic acid supplements, took part in vigorous exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and rarely consumed medication had a 54% lower risk of high blood pressure.

What if researchers took a look at whether people who are healthy in their 50’s and 60’s can change their lifestyle and become couch potatoes in 12 years or less?

May be that study would be titled, “It’s never too late to throw away your health by eating junk foods and adopting a sedentary lifestyle.”

Wait a minute.  Come to think of it, that study is already in progress and many, perhaps virtually all Americans are participating in it.

But, let’s reverse this.  An article published back in 2004 revealed that it is never too late to make lifestyle changes that dramatically reduce your risk of cancer.

It contradicts the common myth that it’s too late to make changes if you are in your 50’s or 60’s.

In contrast, the study revealed that out of 29,000 women between the ages of 55 to 69 whose lifestyle habits were tracked, those who followed healthy recommendations such as eating fruits and vegetables and avoiding tobacco use, were remarkably healthier 12 years later.

The bottom line for this study was that you are never too old to improve your health by following a healthy lifestyle…even if you are in your 60’s.

Interestingly, these studies do not include the benefits of a healthy nerve system.  One can only imagine how the benefits of a healthy lifestyle would be amplified if the people in these studies had been receiving regular chiropractic care as well.

Seasonal Flu Shots: “Counter-productive”

According to a recently published study entitled:

Does Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Increase the Risk of Illness with the 2009 A/H1N1 Pandemic Virus? by Viboud C, Simonsen L and published in PLoS Med 7(4): e1000259. doi:10.1371/journal.pmed.1000259
“…people who received the seasonal flu vaccine shot in 2008 were up to 274% more likely to be infected by H1N1 swine flu than those who skipped the season flu shots.”

This is a result which virtually all the top natural health writers openly predicted last year. Having a “counterproductive effect” of the vaccine means that it works against you. Getting the vaccine shot appears to actually make you MORE susceptible to being infected with (and potentially killed by) a future pandemic because it weakens your immune system!

Everyone that pushed these vaccines so hard were actually increasing the possible risk of serious illness and dealth.  This can be interpreted as engaging in criminally neglectful behavior because the safer, more natural and inexpensive health enhancing and flu preventing approaches were hidden from the public by mainstream media and the big drug makers.

Regular chiropractic care, vitamin D and some sunshine , we now know, works better at preventing flu because they make your immune system stronger for the future.

The vaccine mythology, promoted by the mainstream media and fueled by conventional medicine, drives the drug industry (Big Pharma) profits to record levels nearly every flu season. According to the government’s official figures, well over 10,000 Americans died from swine flu infections.  How many of those people could have been saved if they made healthy lifesyle choices, were under regular chiropractic care and took vitamin D instead of a flu shot?
